Datacron SetsDC Set 36NewNov 4, 2026 · 9 min read

Set 36, The Legend Codex, is the November datacron set. It opened for farming around October 26 and is dismantled on January 20, 2027. Dark Side runs into Bounty Hunter at level 6, Light Side runs into Jedi, and it is a Focused set, so six characters also get a fixed datacron with no rolling.

This page is the short version: what each option does in plain words and whether it is worth chasing. If you want the process for actually farming and rolling a set, that is in How to Farm and Build Datacrons in SWGOH.

The short version

  1. Level 3: Doubt on Dark Side. On Light Side, 50% Prot. Up, with Buff = TM a close second.
  2. Level 9: Leia (Jedi Training), Jedi Knight Revan and Jedi Knight Anakin on Jedi. Krrsantan on Bounty Hunters.
  3. Stats: Defense first, then Crit Damage or Health.

How the ratings work:

  • Focus is worth building on purpose.
  • Situational is good for one team or one job, so only build it if you run that team.
  • Skip is the stuff I wouldn't spend rerolls landing.

Level 3: Dark Side

Rating Option What it does
Focus Doubt The first time each Dark Side ally reaches 90%, 70% and 50% Health, a random enemy without Doubt gets it for 2 turns. It can't be dispelled or prevented.
Situational Prot. Up on DoT Every Damage Over Time a Dark Side ally inflicts gives them a stack of 5% Protection Up until the end of the encounter.
Skip Prot. on Tenacity Up Gaining Tenacity Up also gives a stack of 10% Protection Up for 2 turns.
Skip Buffs when dispelled When dispelled, gain Potency Up and Tenacity Up for 2 turns at the end of that turn.
Skip 10% H/P on Resist Resisting a debuff recovers 10% Health and Protection.

Doubt is the one that works on any Dark Side team. Every ally can trigger it up to three times as they take damage, and because it can't be prevented it goes through debuff immunity. Prot. Up on DoT only earns its spot on a team that throws a lot of Damage Over Time around, but there the stacks last the whole encounter.

Level 3: Light Side

Rating Option What it does
Focus 50% Prot. Up The first time each Light Side ally reaches 75%, 50% and 25% Health, they get 50% Protection Up for 2 turns. It can't be dispelled or prevented.
Focus Buff = TM Whenever a Light Side ally grants a buff to another ally, that ally gains 5% Turn Meter (once per turn per ally).
Skip Off. Up on evade Evading an attack gives Offense Up for 1 turn.
Skip 5% H/P on Evade Evading an attack adds 5% Max Health and Max Protection until the end of battle.
Skip Accuracy Up/Evasion Down Getting evaded gives Accuracy Up and puts Evasion Down on that enemy.

50% Prot. Up is free bulk on every Light Side team, three times per character. Buff = TM is small per trigger, but teams that hand out buffs constantly will feel it. The three evasion options depend on dodging, which you can't count on, so I'd leave them alone.

Level 6: Bounty Hunter

Rating Option What it does
Focus Stun on Special Whenever a Bounty Hunter uses a Special on their turn, the target is Stunned for 1 turn. It can't be evaded or resisted.
Focus Payout at 0 Prot. Bounty Hunters start with +100% Defense. The first time one loses all Protection, the team recovers 50% Protection and gains 50% Offense, 50% Potency and 25 Speed for the rest of the battle. With a Bounty Hunter leader, Payout completes for every Bounty Hunter.
Situational 10% DMG on debuff Every debuff a Bounty Hunter inflicts on their turn deals bonus damage equal to 10% of that enemy's Max Health.
Skip Heal = Prot. Health recovered also restores the same amount of Protection, once per turn and only when Health wasn't full.
Skip Marked Damaging an enemy Marks them for 1 turn if no other enemy is Marked.

An unresistable Stun on every Special takes turns away from the other side, which is about as strong as a level 6 gets. Payout at 0 Prot. is the big one for a Bounty Hunter lead because it hands out the team's Payout for free. 10% DMG on debuff hits hard on a team that stacks debuffs, but the other two do more for most Bounty Hunter squads.

Level 6: Jedi

Rating Option What it does
Focus Wordy Jedi start with +50% counter chance. At the start of their turn a Jedi cleanses all debuffs from another random debuffed Jedi. Cleansing more than 5 gives Defense Penetration Up and Offense Up; cleansing Ability Block, Daze or Stun gives Foresight and 15% Turn Meter. Jedi with Foresight have +50% Critical Damage.
Situational +20% DMG/Foresight Each time a Jedi gains Foresight they deal 20% more damage, stacking to 100% for the battle.
Situational 100% DMG at Full H/P A Jedi who starts their turn at full Health and Protection deals 100% more damage that turn.
Skip Buffs if Undamaged A Jedi who hasn't taken damage since their last turn gets Crit Chance Up and Offense Up for 1 turn.
Skip Retribution Jedi start the battle with Retribution for 3 turns.

Wordy does the most for the most Jedi teams: counters, a cleanse every turn and extra damage once Foresight shows up. The Foresight damage stack pairs well with the General Kenobi level 9 below. Full H/P is strong when a team keeps everyone topped up, and weak once the fight turns.

Level 9: Bounty Hunter characters

Rating Character What it does
Focus Krrsantan Out-of-turn attacks deal 150% bonus damage and put Offense Down and Healing Immunity on all enemies. Losing Taunt removes 50% Turn Meter from all enemies and Blinds them for 2 turns.
Situational Bossk 50% of damage dealt to Bossk is reflected to the attacker as True damage that can't be evaded (it can't defeat enemies).
Situational Boba Fett, Scion of Jango Momentum stacks give Fennec Shand Tenacity Up and allies with Disciple 10% Turn Meter, Boba assists Disciple Specials for 10% more damage, and Bounty Hunters gain 1% Defense per Momentum stack.
Situational IG-90 The Hacked Commando Droid gets +50% Defense and Max Health and heals the team when it Taunts. When it goes down, IG-90 Taunts, stacks Defense and cuts the cooldown on Doctor Aphra's Dangerous Tech.
Skip Greedo Greedo goes into Stealth when crit, recovers Protection while Stealthed, and gets Damage Immunity the first time he drops below full Health.

Level 9: Jedi characters

Rating Character What it does
Focus Leia (Jedi Training) Untargetable for the first 2 turns. The first time she is defeated, if another ally is still up, every other defeated ally is revived and the whole team recovers 100% Health and Protection and gains 100% Turn Meter and 100% Offense for the rest of the battle.
Focus Jedi Knight Revan Whenever another ally uses an ability on their turn, Revan assists (once per turn) for 50% more damage.
Focus Jedi Knight Anakin Basics give him 50% stacking Protection Up and 50% Turn Meter. Specials put Fear on the target, which can't be evaded or resisted.
Situational General Kenobi Kenobi gains Foresight whenever another ally recovers Protection.
Situational Juhani Redeemed allies gain 5 Speed (max 50) each time they gain bonus Turn Meter. If another Redeemed ally takes damage while Juhani Taunts, the leader takes a bonus turn with 50% more damage.

Leia's level 9 is a second life for the whole team on top of a team that is already a top offense, so it is the first one I'd chase on the Light Side. Revan's is an extra attack every single turn. Anakin's gives him fast turns plus an unresistable Fear on every Special.

The Focused Datacrons

Set 36 also has six Focused Datacrons. These come with every ability and stat already picked, so there is nothing to roll. Most go to level 9; Darth Jar Jar's goes all the way to level 15.

Focused datacron Abilities on it
Darth Jar Jar (level 15) L3 Darth Sidious: his Basic on his turn gives other allies 25% Turn Meter. L6 Darth Maul: +100% Max Health under a Darth Jar Jar lead, and he gains Emergency Powers whenever Sidious does. L9 Yoda (Dark Side Vision): his Stealthed hits raise enemy cooldowns, and he assists when another Dark Master's Training ally uses a Special. L12 The Ronin: forces Taunt onto a second enemy on Ronin's turn. L15 Darth Jar Jar: a Jar Jar leader starts with 100% Turn Meter, when an enemy removes an ally's Turn Meter the enemy with the most Turn Meter is Staggered and the Ronin takes a bonus turn, and instantly defeated allies are revived at full Health and Protection.
The Mandalorian and Grogu L3 Zeb (New Republic Pilot): heals on Specials and re-Taunts the first time Taunt is lost. L6 Grogu & Anzellans: the first time an ally drops below 50% Health, the team is cleansed and they take a bonus turn with cooldowns reset. L9 The Mandalorian and Grogu: Untargetable for 3 turns, New Republic allies start with Dramatic Entrance and Retribution, his hits shrink enemy Max Health and Protection, his kills can't be revived, and he gets much stronger when one enemy is left.
Jaxxon L3 Lando Calrissian: crits stack Double Down damage. L6 Young Lando: Turn Meter when allies use Specials. L9 Jaxxon: Scoundrel tanks, attackers and supports each get a start-of-battle bonus, he deals 100% bonus damage to Stunned enemies and heals the team, and he assists Prepared allies' Specials.
Starkiller (Luke Concept) L3 Han Solo: Stuns stack Crit Damage and Speed. L6 Chewbacca: bonus turn whenever an enemy is Stunned. L9 Starkiller: allies regain Guard once, out-of-turn attacks give Protection Up, and Shared Fate kills can't be revived and give Rebels Defense and him a bonus turn.
Mara Jade Skywalker L3 Mace Windu: stacks Max Health and keeps re-applying Shatterpoint. L6 Jedi Knight Luke: bonus turn on Specials with no Galactic Legend on the team. L9 Mara Jade: Perfect Defense for the team under a Jedi Knight Luke lead, she assists Basics, and her kills put Protection Disruption on an enemy.
Stormtrooper (Concept) L3 Dark Trooper: assists himself on Specials. L6 General Veers: resets his cooldowns at the cost of some Health. L9 Stormtrooper: Taunting gives Imperial Troopers Emperor's Trap, bonus True damage and Turn Meter immunity.

If you have one of these teams built, its Focused Datacron is basically a finished level 9 you don't have to roll for.

Stats

The stat levels on this set roll from Defense, Protection, Health, Offense, Armor Penetration, Crit Damage and Tenacity. The order I go with:

Priority Stat
1 Defense
2 Crit Damage
3 Health

Defense is the one I'm happy to see on almost anything. Crit Damage matters on the teams that do the damage, and Health is the fallback for tanks and supports.

Quick reference

  1. Dark Side level 3: roll for Doubt.
  2. Light Side level 3: roll for 50% Prot. Up or Buff = TM.
  3. Bounty Hunter level 6: Stun on Special or Payout at 0 Prot.
  4. Jedi level 6: Wordy.
  5. Level 9s worth a dedicated datacron: Leia (Jedi Training), Jedi Knight Revan, Jedi Knight Anakin, Krrsantan.
  6. Stats: Defense, then Crit Damage or Health.
  7. Check whether you own any of the six Focused Datacron teams before you spend on the rest.
  8. Dismantle anything left from this set before January 20, 2027.
